I got banned from AdWords – AGAIN!
Posted under Affiliates PPC by Erez ZundyOK, now this is ridiculous. I got banned again from AdWords. And why? who the hell knows?!.
As you probably remember, last time I got banned, I asked AdWords to re-review my account, and it the day after I got an email saying that I am no longer banned and that it was a computer error.
Now, a month later, I got banned again! This is crazy and annoying. I didn’t promote anything that Google doesn’t like, and in fact, in the previous time I got banned and then un-banned, AdWords help guys told me that everything I’m promoting is OK. So what the hell happened now??
By the way, my friend, of which I told you about last time, who also got banned and un-banned, also got banned again. Something is really F***ED UP with Google’s banning algorithm. Why we don’t here anything from the blog-sphere? Why no one at Google is taking the blame and admit to everyone “I’m sorry, but the machine and algorithm I created really suck”? But no! everyone should dance according to Google and no one can make the all mighty “G” to admit he’s wrong.
Google has too much power and it’s starting to get too late for us to see it.
Fortunately I already have some nice campaigns running on Facebook. You should try it too. Google is no longer relevant for me as an affiliate. Too bad..
Now go and make some money!!!
Erez.
Hi! My name is Erez Zundy and I want to share with you the fact that I have no idea what to write here about myself yet. What I do know is that I will post here anything I know about PPC. I have 3 years of experience in PPC marketing, both as an affiliate and as a PPC manager for other unique clients. In this blog I will discuss many espects of the PPC for both affiliates and PPC managers. I will tag my posts by either "affiliates" or "PPC managers", depends on the topic, so keep an eye on that. Ohh yeah, you should also follow me on twitter:

My sympathy. I received the same ban today. Banned for life. Don’t come back. Not a very nice letter, especially not since I have been loyal to them in over four years now. Spent a lot(!) of dollars.
It will ruin my christmas.
Don’t let it ruin your Christmas. Move your campaigns into Yahoo and Bing, and try to come up with new ways to target your customers, maybe adbright will work? Maybe facebook or myspace?
I’m using Yahoo and Bing, but it’s not enough traffic. Adbright isn’t big enough in the countries I’m active in, and Facebook-ads has too low conversion rate for these products. It’s going to get really tough… I will of course increase the SEO effort, but that will take time.
I may have been really stupid building my business around Google Adwords, but when they got over 85% market share in these countries I didn’t have much of a choice. It’s.. Well.. I don’t really know what to say.
Did you inquire/get an answer from Google about the re-ban?
Try not to hold that against yourself. After all, you’re right, and in the current market share of search, there is not much we can do. Google has too much power, that’s for sure.
But maybe you should try other products that convert well in social networks, or media buying?
I did inquire about the re-ban, of course. But I still didn’t get an answer. I hope I will get one, but I know many big advertisers who didn’t get an email back from Google.
I will keep you updated on this issue, and will post their answer as soon as I get it.
Hi Erez, I also got banned a few days ago. I sent an inquiry but haven’t been responded yet.
This found me completely shocked after spending thousands of dollars on Adwords each month. I am trying to convince myself that maybe it’s for the best, though my past experience from advertising on Yahoo, Msn and Facebook is not very good…
I guess the obvious solution is building well structured sites, rich content, SEO friendly-but this is for the long run…what about now?!
Hi Liat,
I think although your past experience with Yahoo, MSN and Facebook is not good, you can concentrate on finding a way for you to make money there, the same way you probably did a few years ago with Google. After all, people do make money using those sites, you just need to find out what kind of products convert there and how to target your customers the best you can.
Affiliate marketing is not just Google, although all the “great gurus” told us otherwise, and are just now saying the opposite.
If you’ve made it in Google than you probably have some money to start testing other channels and other products, and if you made it in Google I’m sure you will make it elsewhere.
Another nail in Google’s affiliate income coffin.
Good thing I figured it out months ago, and now all I have to do is laugh at the emails I get from them citing the low quality of my landing pages
A word of wisdom: “there are no traffic jams on the extra mile” – think outside the box, find your own way of generating traffic from alternative sources (and there are lots of them) and you’ll hit it without Google’s help.
Hi Johnny
That’s a really good tip. Lucky me I got it from you a few months ago and already begun my jurney there..
This is something every affiliate needs to do. There’s no such thing anymore as “adwords affiliate”.
I have joined the cue of the permanent disabled adwords world, banned for life,
Thanks for your tips it helps, knowing there are alternatives, we just have to work smarter and a little harder for a while,
they knock us down but guess what we find cheaper alternatives and learn new skills along the way,
may our future be bright without adwords,
google will crawl our new site and give us traffic one way or another, for free,
we can have the last laugh eventually
I must be one of the lucky one’s they replied to an email. not that it matters the outcome is still the same
Disabled for life,
Enabled with alternatives
we search for new ways of achieving the ultimate goal.
