PPC IS ME

PPC marketing blog

Hi! My name is Erez Zundy and I want to share with you the fact that I have no idea what to write here about myself yet. What I do know is that I will post here anything I know about PPC. I have 3 years of experience in PPC marketing, both as an affiliate and as a PPC manager for other unique clients. In this blog I will discuss many espects of the PPC for both affiliates and PPC managers. I will tag my posts by either "affiliates" or "PPC managers", depends on the topic, so keep an eye on that. Ohh yeah, you should also follow me on twitter: twitter.com/erez_z .

AdWords spreadsheet editing – new feature

Posted under PPC news

On last Friday AdWords introduced a new feature called “Spreadsheet Editing”, which basically lets you bulk edit keywords in your account, as if you were using an Excel spreadsheet.

This is how it looks:

Most PPC advertisers, both managers and affiliates, are using excel to help with keyword expansion, reporting, analyzing, and bulk editing. The new feature might not help with keywords expansion but it sure can help when we want to make bulk changes in our account.

Here are some obvious actions you can make with the new feature:

  • Add destination URL to each keyword.
  • Create a formula (like in a regular excel sheet) that will automatically change your Max CPC to the first page CPC (if lower).
  • Copy ad groups to different campaigns – just copy the spreadsheet to your AdWords Editor and upload.

You can also add keywords using this feature but I think it’s best doing that with the AdWords editor or the plain old “add keywords” button on the keywords tab of the interface.

I will keep exploring this new feature and I promise to keep you posted if I find anything else useful.

If you already have new ideas of using this feature, please share them with me. Thanks!
